The FACT Program - Fathers and Children Together

In Connecticut, one of every four children grows up in a family without a father in the home. Without a father’s financial and emotional support, children are more likely to live in poverty and struggle with substance abuse, delinquency, poor school performance and teen pregnancy. Children need the love, support and guidance of both parents.

Incarceration separates fathers from their children. For many of these fragile families, separation, because of incarceration, is the beginning of the end. Without intervention, family reunification upon release is not likely.

Families in Crisis, Inc. provides a comprehensive program designed to assist soon to be released young men to develop into loving and supportive fathers.
