Families in Crisis is a private not for profit family service agency with offices located in Bridgeport, Hartford, New Haven, New London and Waterbury Connecticut. Our purpose is to assist families affected when a loved one becomes involved in the criminal justice system. We provide services in the community, client homes, at Connecticut prisons and agency offices. We offer a diverse work experience. Many of our employees provide individual, family and group counseling and case management services. Our employees have the opportunity to work with a cross section of other providers and various state agencies.
The work of the organization is funded by state contracts, fees for service and donations from concerned corporations, foundations and individuals. We seek highly motivated individuals for both full-time and part-time work. We operate programs during regular business hours and some of our services also occur during early evenings and weekends.
Candidates must have a bachelors and preferably a master’s degree and previous work experience in a related field. Bilingual bicultural Spanish speaking applicants preferred.
